on a subject i rarely see talked about, for those guys running 38's or bigger what do you use for brakes to stop those big tires? i plan on running dana 60's F&R on my dodge and plan on a rear disc conversion but what are the biggest brake choices for the best stopping power?

disc.. all the way, even stock setup will lock them tires up NO PROBLEM in mud, even on anything other than pavement, never tried my 42s on pavement

Hammerlane

Disks up front
stock drums in the rear.

Need to keep an eye on pads/shoes though.. boggin and mud etc... wear out shoes/pads real quick.

Over the Edge Sharpening systems, cutlery, shear, scissor sharpening

It's all fun and games till someone gets knocked up.. down or out !

if you are using a chevy, 4 wheel disk is the way to go, but,, yoiu also have to change the aportioning valve ( it regulates brake pressure between the front and back and it is where the front lines split)..to one that is for 4 wheel disk.. cadillac used this system for yrs..so i recommend changing to one of those. but for off road use only, i highly recommend a brake located on the transfercase..
82 scrambler ,blazer frame ,small block. It runs everything from 33's-44's....83 cj7.full size chevy axles..48 inch terra tires.. 83 cj7... purple. 350 chevy toyota axles,37 inch boggers..have fun and keep the rubber side down.. Swampy
