new/used motor in tracker

well I bought a motor a couple weeks ago for the tracker. i have messed with it for two weeks trying to get it to run. no luck. so I started to search for another one. I found one locally for $400 and it runs. so I'm getting it friday and going to try to get it in before this sunday. I really want to get it running so i can see what those t-case gears will do. I really didnt get to try them out the last time I was at the mounds. The motor was already knocking so i had to be easy on it until the day was over. but from what I can tell I really think I'm going to like them. so wish me luck that I get the motor in and that it starts for me before sunday. I heard it run so I dont see why it wont run when i try to start it up.

yeah. now I'm wanting to buy another tracker and put a v6 in it and 4 wheel steering. but I just want this one running so i can play. I would do it to this one but I spent 700 on the gears for the t case so I can turn the super swampers i have on it.

No don't scrap it, little rigs like our's are more capable than some people realize. Plus gas mileage is great. And by the way I have a tracker engine in my sami.

yeah you have the 8 valve done you? I'm running the 16 valve. I think i'm gonna rebuild the motor in the garage and run the motor i'm getting. when that one goes I'll put the rebuilt in it and run that one until it goes then I'm thinking I might swap to the 8 valve or just do the v6 to this one.

yes it's an 8 valve and its carberated

tanks steve but i think yours is the 8 valve. I got the motor in today and its running again. so I hope it lasts. I'll be at the caine rd bog and the mounds sunday. if i dont break anything sat.

heres a tracker that has both of yours 460 bbc in it with a c6 and 9" the driveshaft is 15" long

yeah i was doing really good there. I went to the mounds today and wasnt there an hour and blew it up. I didnt even get on it like yesterday. 30 day warrenty so gonna call them tomorrow and tell them it was bad when i put it in.

Well I called them this morning and they are going to find me another motor. They didnt even ask to hear it run but that wasnt a problem if they wanted to hear it I could have fired it up while I was talking to them on the phone.

tell them if it happens again you want a new motor ad your money back....i would i think thats kinda bull
