i dont know if anyone's heard, but the dnr screwed up the test results and the deer that were supposed to have cwd DIDNT and the test results came back negative.  hmmm rumors say the dnr might alow bait yet this year.

There is a business owner somewhere in the upper Mid-state area that is trying to get this law overturned because it is finacially devestating to companies that grow bait just for deer. But as of now the DNR has put this bait law into effect for the 2008 season only.

i've talked to a C.O. and was told there is a 95% chance that baiting will be allowed by NOV.15.

i sure hope the law is lifted ive been out 5 days already seen three deer one doe two yearling's i put a lot of time into another spot with minerals and such, scouted is for a long time looked really nice and now i cant legally hunt it put me in a basically in a hurry up and scout out new spot mode which as you know is not the way to hunt i like to put it time now what do i do i am on state land its kinda late if i set up there is a good chance of setting up in somebodies spot and that would not be cool

It was a little harsh to bann in the entire lower pennisula.  They should have done the same thing they did with the TB.  Ban baiting in teh 4 counties around Kent.  We have property in the TB area and haqve never shot a deer that had TB.  So with only 1 being found with CWD I think they went to far.  Just my opinion.
