I need a little insight about this. i have a 327 and a 283 crank to do this just wondered how they run how well they take high rpm's. let me know what you know about these thanks

a 302 was a 3.00 stroke crank, with a 4.00 bore block..  it used 5.7 chevy rods..and the pistons cost a small fortune... it was ok..yes high rpms.but very low torgue. no real reason to build one, unless it was to put a car back to original..  in my own opinion..it is wayyyyyyyyyy to much to build.. for the power you will get. build the 327 instead..it is a 3.25 stroke, with a 4.00 bore block.it also uses the 5.7 rods.. pistons are reasonable.. and the power difference between the 302 and the 327 are amazing..
82 scrambler ,blazer frame ,small block. It runs everything from 33's-44's....83 cj7.full size chevy axles..48 inch terra tires.. 83 cj7... purple. 350 chevy toyota axles,37 inch boggers..have fun and keep the rubber side down.. Swampy
