I would like to step down as the Director/Coordinator for the WFTW event hosted by Got Mud.  I am going to be building a new home soon and I will not be able to take the time to coordinate the Charity and Main events for next year. 

We have raised about $1100.00 for the main event (I still have to pick up the check from Phil (mudbrat71)).  The new Director will be given this money to be used as start up money for the next charity event or for the main event.

If I don't find a replacement within a month or so, I'm going to let the national group know that we will not be participating in the August 09 main event that would have taken place at the Mounds.  If nobody wishes to take over I would like to donate the money raised to a local or state veteran's group.  The donation would be in the club's name.

Any interested parties can PM me and I will get the ball rolling to put them in the leadership position with the national group.

As of 12/17/08 Got Mud is no longer hosting the WFTW event in August 2009.  I sent my letter of resignation in and they have responded saying that we are no longer a host club.

That's unfortunate..

However.. on the bright side there was a substantial event that you put on..

No worries.  Jason at WFTW was super cool about it and a club from Kentucky has stepped up to fill the void.
