i have a 94 olds delta 88 royel with a 3800. i got home yesterday backed in to my drive way. shut it off did something got back in it and it wont start. also i noticed my dome lights power seats and windows, and mirrors stoped working. but if u turn the dome lights on with the switch everything starts working including it running. and the driveres door has to be open. if u turn the dome lights off or shut the door everything dies.      ==pissed ==pissed ??? ??? ==censor ==censor ==dunno ==dunno pullhairr pullhairr ==help ==help ==help ==help ==help ==rant ==rant ==pullhair ==pullhair

it sounds like you have a alarm system? if so use the outside door lock with the key on the driver side. it may just need to be reset.

if it didn't work I have to wonder if the igntion switch its self could be bad? the reason I say as soon as you turn the lights on you say it will start, it sounds like your back feeding the power from the lights to the ignition. as soon as you shut the door your interuping the circut.
