Ban WALMART - the fu%$#@! wouldn't sell me a bottle of WINE

I went to Walmart at lunch to get a game for Sony PS2.

I picked up a bottle of wine and went to check out.

The clerk TOOK it from me and said:
"Iam sorry, but I cannot sell this to you".

I thought to myself...'what the hell, is it Sunday??? is it like 8 am and I just can't tell time?'
Well, she said that there is a state law banning the sale of alcohol on election day until 6 pm.

Funny, I called two other stores and they knew NOTHING about it.

I called walmart (yes, I am persistant) and they said that the state law is written in such a way that they CAN prohibit sales on election day if they WANT to.

Hmmm... So now Walmart is taking the role of MORAL ADVISOR!
I THINK NOT!

Well, I am done with them now - for this and other reasons. I just have a really, really hard time accepting the fact that a place that does kill mom & pop shops feels compelled to regulate ANYTHING I do or dont do...

     2am and 7am of any day except on January 1st sales are permitted for on-premises licensees only until 4am (off-premises licensees must stop selling alcoholic beverages at 2am on January 1st).

     2am and 12 Noon on Sundays; the sale of spirits or mixed spirit drinks is allowed only with a Sunday sales permit.

     9pm on December 24 and 7am on December 26.

     4am and 7am on January 1 (New Years Day) for on-premises licensees only.

* Note! Sunday sales rules apply if the dates fall on Sunday.

I had a customer come in to the store last night and told me that we werent aloud to sell any alochol at all today......when I told him that he was wrong and he told me that he seen a sign at walmart that stated that there was alochol beverages that can not be sold today.....stupid idea........

What is next telling us that we cant sell/buy alochol on any other day......

I dont drink but I selling a lot of beer and wine everyday and it is stupid that they can just decided when and where they are aloud to sell/buy beer......

Only time that we dont sell alochol is

Not until 12 pm on Sundays
Not after 9 pm on Christmas Eve

We are not a 24 hour store so we dont have to worry about the other times....

clio walmart says no sales from 12 am to 12 am  i saw that yesterday morning  and i looked up at the cashier and gave a look and said wtf... the cashier was kinda ruthless about it i m sure i wasnt the first one that said wtf about it
