my truck hasnt had 4hi since i bought it and i got a tcase awhile back but never got around to fixing it
i live in flint and i drove it to my cousins shop in clio and started tearin it down with the intentions of driving it home with the new tcase
after i had it up i realized the tail part of it where the driveshaft goes was smashed in and it cant be fixed
so i got stranded in clio until i found a ride from my buddy

ahhh what a day
i guess all that i can say is happens and tommorow is a new day

It sounded like you were saying you had 2 tcases can't you take the tailhousing or one and put it on the other or are both of them broke

well i did that
i put the one off of my old junk transfer case on my new one and guess what
its not lockin in 4 hi or 4 lo now

are you sure your shifter is hooked up right? and did the new one have 4x4 before?  sounds like it was a bad case to start with!

im gunna check out the linkage

does the tcase you just put in have 4x4 before you swaped parts??? if you dont know it may just be a bad case...

well i got the tcase from 454 jeep and he said it all works
