We have an Edenpure it was givin to us. It does not heat any better than any other 1500 watt electric heater. 1500 watts is the most you can buy for use in a house. 1500 watts will produce only so much heat (About 5000btu) and for 24hrs use it cost about $4 so too run it for a month you will spend about $120.  Gas is cheaper btu per hour. But if I am home alone I will use it to heat the room I am in and turn the furnace all the way down...thats how you save 50% on your gas bill. It will not heat 1000sq ft like it claims but it will heat a small room nice. I would say 350sq ft tops.
PS: 1500 watts is 1500 watts no matter how you look at it thats how much heat you will get out of it be it an electric element, oil filled or inferred...you will only get about 5000btu an hr.

I think the bigger ones are a little better. I had a small one and used it in the garage and it did nothing. depends a lot on use and which one you buy.

i have both size eden pure heaters. i tryed the smaller one out in my living room since it is the coldest room in the house. it doubled the electric bill.

I'd guess the electric ones would probally crank the electric meter... anything that plugs in and get hot does...

the propane radiant heaters work good.. they cheaper than reg. wall furnace... heats objects instead of air.. .some how.... its wierd but ive heard good things about them.
