WFTW money.

We have about $1100 that was collected from the September WFTW event. Since we are no longer participating in the national event, I would like to donate this money to a charity. I was thinking a veterans related charity because the money was collected in the spirit of the nations wounded Vets.

I will take the suggestions and start a poll. The most popular charity will receive a check in the clubs name.

My suggestion: A Veterans' hospital.

cant we still give the money to the charity that it was intended for wftw just wondering we did raise the money to help the guy on his journey and thought maybe we could just complete our task by givin it to him if not the VA in SAG is always in need of money

None of this money was ever intended to be given to WFTW. The idea was to generate cash for our event that was supposed to take place in August 09. I spoke with Jason from WFTW when I was stepping down and asked him about giving WFTW the money from our event. He said we could be he would rather see it given to a local Veterans' charity.

With that said I now need to know which Veterans' hospital we should send the check to.

I (Mookie) bartened at The Elks Club in Lapeer for a couple of years. It was a club for vets. I have gone to the hospitals before, and that is a very good idea to give them the money. It is always badly needed. They deserve it more then anyone. Got to take care of our remaining vets!

I agree with Saginaw Vet hospital. I was talking with the Vets service officer in Midland and he also suggest Saginaw Vet Hospital and he gave me this phone number for you to call 1-800-406-5143 ext. 11076. He is also a vet and THANKED US VERY MUCH. He said by sending this to the Saginaw Vet Hospital it helps everyone not just a specific branch of the service.

BTW Saginaw Vets Hospital is a great choice, my grandfather was a WWI HERO & had spent alot of time in & out of that hospital.....
