witch half? i know that it is really close to the same with as a pickup bench of the same year.

yes, my plan is to get something like a 2nd seat out of a 1978ish suburban to put in my truck and id like to find out the length so i can get something of the same size.

i'll see if my buddy still has it.  i dont think it will work well though. here is why- the seat is a 4 piece deal 2 bottems and 2 tops. the tops mount on a ledge with a piano hinge and is kept back by a latch mounted on the c piller. the floor is also pretty much flat under the seats. what type and erea truck are you thinking about putting this in?

hmmm, my stepdad told me he used a 2nd seat out of a 78 burban in his 1970 chevy and that fit better than the stock seat in the truck.  hmm maybe wrong year? i want to put one in my 1970 chevy if i can find something close, other wise ill go with bucket seats and a center console...

check out a bench from 88-98 chevy truck. we put on in a 79 chevy and it worked good. make sure you get the brackets as they can be cut down. are sure he did not say front seat? if you want to see how a set of bucket out of a mid '90s shadow feel, let me know as that is what are mounted in my '71 chevy.
