What is it worth?

looking at this s10, they are the original owners and have all service records. Regular maintenance and service work performed by chevy dealer. Oil changed every 3000 miles. They wanted $4300 and thats NADA clean retail...I offered $3300 and thats NADA clean trade in value. He counter offered $3750 and I countered back with $3500 and he agreed. What is your opinion? Is it worth it with 127,000 proven well taken care of miles? Absolutely nothing wrong with it, not a ding, scratch, rip, tear, stain nothing...the thing is perfect even the tires are only 2 months old. What do you guys think? Snag it up or search for a better deal?

It runs better than it looks...yeah the documented maintenance goes a long way in my book. I found another one 1999 with 110,000 miles for $3300 but it dont have all the options this one does and no service records...who knows if they ever even changed the oil?

I think its worth it, you'd be suprised with the 4.3L h.o. very dependable, and the trans behind it is overbuilt to go behind a v8.
keep some form of rust protectant/under coating on all the body mounts atleast once a year, and keep the ball joints greased up and it should hold together for a long time, worked w/ a guy had 4.3h.o. in a pickup, fast truck, that was with 275,000 miles on it.

Only downside I see I.M.O. is squish button 4wd, CA emissons, and its a four door... but thats me lol.

Yep i have owned 4 s10 blazers in my life and loved every one of them...they all had over 200,000miles 4.3 liter  The push button 4x4 is awesome when it works right but when something goes bad like the servo motor it cost big bucks to fix...unfortunately all blazers 97 and newer have them. Need a 4 door we have kids and this will be the wifes daily driver. Someone else is going to look at this tomorrow and I know if I dont buy it tonight it will probably be gone tomorrow...I realize people selling a car always say (Someone else is coming to look at it) but these people seem pretty honest and well off financially and they also seem anal about the car (Husband wanted to go with me when I test drive it to make sure I was not ragging on it)...I think I am going to go get it tonight!

Well I went and checked it out...first thing I tried was the 4x4. Pushed the button for 4hi and no light came on but the 2hi light went off? Ok so I put it in neutral and selected 4lo and again no light? Then I started to check things out, I got under it and the bottom of the rear diff was wet pinion seal is leaking. Everything else looked great. So I go top side and the motor looked clean and did not see any leaks. Belt looked good ect ect. Checked oil and it was just changed. Checked tranny fluid and it was dark brown and smelled burnt (BIG RED FLAG) checked for tranny cooler and there was none imagine that! So I thought I would humor myself and take it for a drive...got going and guess what? It is in 4low (NO LIGHT) so I put it in neutral and pushed 2hi (THAT SHOULD BE THAT) selected drive started going and guess what? Still in 4low...I tried and tried again and could not get it out of 4low. Shut it off for a while and tried again and guess what? 4low That just turned me off push button 4x4 big time. Glad my truck is mechanical!!! End of Rant...just thought I would share how my day went

ya those push buttons can stay away from me. everyone ive had or my friends had they always failed and just pissed ya off when ya needed them to work and they just sit there and flash!
