what is the biggest cubic inch that you can get out of a 350 sb?  my buddy is tryin to feed me a line of crap about his motor and iwant to prove him wrong but im not sure on what the biggest cubic inch is that you can get out of a 350 sb

out of a 350 block i have seen a 392 or 397 but thats about it, as far as i know

i dont believe this one bit but he is claming 643 ci out of a 350 sb.  and when i asked him how they managed to get that big out of a 350  he said  oh the same way they get them big motors out of a 454.  i asked him 3 times and he couldnt give me an actual answer.     ive seen this motor run in his truck at silverlake  and he claims its a 600+hp and 430 ft lb of torque motor.  can twist 12,000 rpm all day and not hurt a thing.  well  he had it hooked to a 400 trans with a stock convertor and this thing was not fast one bit. he says its cuz it had thestock convertor.  said he has to have atleast a 5500 stall cuz power doesnt come on till over 5000rpm.  he says it used to be the motor he ran in his rail.   im not going to deny him that but i dont see how it is possible to get 643 ci out of a 350 sb.     i was just curious  whats the biggest you can get  out of a standard 350 block  just so i can prove him wrong cuz my word isnt good enough for him.

i know you can get atleast 454 out of a smallblock, but it takes a custom block.. and about 10grand

oh i know he is.  he likes to over exaggerate about alot of his stuff.  like the other 350 he has.  the one thats in his truck right now he claims it has 425 hp which i know is 100% possible, but when u start this motor up  it sounds like a completely stock motor and i have rode in the truck out at thompsons bog before and going thru the mud this truck does not seem to have any balls at all.   my 82 with a 355 has more balls then his truck does with that motor in it.    he says he can go out in the road and roast all 4 tires off and when he took my buddy jeff for a ride he told him to hold on cuz he was going to be put back in the seat big time.  well needless to say the truck took off like a truck with a completely stock motor in it.    i mean he does know some stuff about these older trucks and he is a really good friend but he just needs stop the over exaggerating of his motors.

according to chevy high performance, the biggest u can go with a STOCK 350 block is a 408 and that only accievable with a 4.000 inch stroke

his story changes all the time on his motor   i didnt believe him for one sec on it  but i was curious what the biggest you could go with a 350 block

ha.. I like to listen to people that say they have 350-400hp on there motors, I ask what they did to there motors, they tell me well I changed intakes, carb, put headers on it, K&n air filter, dual exhuast...them people make me laugh!!!
