check the pump seals could be leaking past them

MR. Horsepower

If the pump is wore out it will leak past to the seals won't hold the pressure

With my old taurus when the trans was warm it would not leak but after it was shut off and began to cool it would puke fulid  not positive but i think when warm o ring seals on the pump expand ,when cooling they begin to shrink and the presure pushes fluid past.

Jody had rtv all the way around the outside of the front pump and replace the torque converter seal and put it back in and fired it up  it okay when it cold but when it get hotter such as 160 it ll start drip 170  more dripping  shut it off pours right outprobably at least a quarter of a quart then it stops in a minute   so i m thinking there is a race (bearing) on his torque converter   could that be bad?   while running  jody put the truck in drive and reverse and it moves so assuming there is a  pressure  another thing  jody and i tried to take the front pump off  how the hell u do that?? i thought there might me a thread on the pump housing like at 1 and 7 and  there isnt  so we tried to tap em with a hammer  it roatate the pump but i couldnt get it all out so ???
