With my taxes this year Im wanting to do an axle swap on my 79 bronco  thinking of a d 60 in front and a gm  14 bolt in the rear what do you guys think, what to look for  and how hard is the swap looking to hopefully run 44s thanks in advance!

ive been looking into doing the dana 60 swap into my 79 bronco for awhile now. are you planning on sticking with coil suspension or switching to leafs? if you stick with the coil suspension its goona be a nightmare. personally, im goona convert my bronco over to leaf springs. ive got a few web pages and such that if your interested i can pass along. just send me a pm.  ==wrenchinbanana

i put a  D60  in my ranger with coils,  easy as pie.     bronco graveyard  sells the  pieces to weld on your axles.   the   rest  bolts in.   and  i run 44s.  ( bronco frame )  and  steering arms have to be made longer.

78  D60  from a  F250 snowfighter.

i cut the  pieces  of of the  D44 i took out.   welded them on ther D 60  and at the  same time  i  was able to  angel the  pinnion  up 10%  to help with the  pinnion angle with  lift. .   then  just had to make the  steering arms  longer to fit the  D60 .   hope this  helps.
