Oil filters...good read!

I think I posted this along time ago but I'm not sure? Anyway do you think an oil filter is an oil filter? They are not...This is a very good site with what is in what. I found out you definitely want a filter with a bypass valve. This allows the oil to bypass the filter when it is cold or dirty. With out a filter with this feature you can starve your engine of oil during start up or if your filter is dirty.

Fram almost cost me the motor in my Transam...I will never use another Fram product!!! I only run a Mobil 1 filter or a WIX/Napa gold filter now.

damn ive been usin fram in my truck since ive had it......guess thats why ive put an engine in it.....

I seen a thing on TV along time about those...I  guess they are the Bee's knee's. People got 400 and even 500k out of their motors, one guy had something like a 1963 Mercedes that had over a million miles on it using one of those.

I've always used AC Delco, or STP filters, no problems yet.

Damn I just bought a Fram oil filter for my oil change on my truck...guess im returning that

little mudboggincrazy

think its time to start runih the wix filters on the trucks
run it till its broke

the replacement "cartridges" for that oil filter look alot like toilet paper but there is a difference..............they are about X3 more expensive

Went and got a AC Delco filter today for the oil change on my truck....Going to go return the Fram filter I originally bought for an oil change.
