My other hobby, detailing

This is something I just started getting into heavily last year.  To me it is as addicting as trails and mud!

I started out years ago just keeping my cars clean all the time and people noticed that and wanted me to do theirs also.  At the time, I didn't have a polisher, so all work was done by hand.  It was a very time consuming process and it got me only so so results.  Sure, they were clean, but they still had scratches and swirl marks.

Last year I decided to step it up and spend some money on some good products including a polisher and all the other good stuff.  So far, I have had amazing results and some fantastic turnarounds.  It still takes a long time to do a vehicle, but it is much better now as I can get rid of all the scratches and swirls and leave a super wet and glossy finish on the cars.

Here is a few samples of some of the work I have done, check it out and let me know what you think 8)

This is a thread of mine from a detailing forum that I learned a lot from.  http://www.autopia.org/forum/click-brag/109338-first-c-b-03-escape-bad-shape.html

This is my friends '05 CTS that I worked on last summer

Here are a few of my car

I can't wait for spring so I can go play in some mud and get working on detailing again!  Now if only I had a garage!

What do you think of some of my work?

You are far more patient than myself.  I hate cleaning and detailing vehicles, that's why I drive ratty pieces of junk.  More power to you if you enjoy what you do.
My keyboard can go through more stuff than your keyboard.

I actually love doing it!  I find it very relaxing and I really love the end result.

I am not sure if there are rules on this forum about selling services like this, I am going to check before I post up a price for your GP

hmm, I just checked out the services forum and it seems like I can do this no problem.  To keep this clean though, I will just leave general discussion about it here and post up in the services forum for questions and discussion about price etc.

( I found the services forum and was busy typing this up and getting the kids dinner while Bigdaddy and Big Dog posted )

Thanks DemonRR.  Are you on www.autopia.org or www.autogeek.net forums at all?
Believe me, I don't use store bought stuff.  All of my cars so far have been done with a random orbital buffer, the Ultimate Detailing Machine, but I am going to pick up a Makita rotary buffer in a few weeks.  I do most of my shopping at www.autogeek.net and here is my latest cart, set to be purchased in a few weeks when I get my bonus check from work.
