im just curious what everyone thinks is the better manual valve body.  i currently have a tci reverse manual valve body in my trans and i may ditch it and go to something different.   my trans is on its way out again i think and im really leaning towards my last trans guy f%#@g me over once agian and that it is nothing to do with the valve body but im not sure.  i have a new guy lined up that will be doing them from now on.  he has done my cousins trans in his mud truck and some of his friends and none of them have ever had a problem.  but if i decide to ditch the tci valve body  which kind should i go with?

i want it to be a reverse shift pattern valve body also. not sure if that matters.  not sure if each different type of manual vavle body out there offers both reg and reverse shift pattern

thanks for any help or suggestions.

ok well ill be pulling my trans out once again.  this makes time number 4.  it still shifts from 1st to 2nd great but slips like crazy in 3rd and reverse is acting weird.  not to mention fluid is damn near brownish/blackish in color and does not smell good lol.  i knew hte trans was on its way out so i decided to run it till it goes.

anyways dave over at discount will be doing the trans build for me again.  im going with the same set up as i have now with te reverse manual valve body but im junking the tci that i have and im leaning towards a hughs.  im not saying the tci valve body is my problem  but afte the engineers said we had to do some shimming to the servo for the kickdown band i said im done with it cuz i didnt pay 260 for a valve body that i still had ot modify myself.  so does everyone think the hughs would be a good one to run in my truck.    if it matters what im doing with it   the truck is pretty much a toy.  it doesnt get drove on the road much  other then when we head up to 61 to do some trail riding.  otherthen that it is used for hte mud  of if we decide to do some racing on my buddies field.

just figured id toss this out again and see if anyone else has any more info to toss in before i spend the money and hopefully have this be my last build for a lil while.
