Can't beat a Burb'! I'm a little biased though. My next one will be a '93 or newer Burb'.

More weight means it will be a digger instead of a floater. I am just running 33" A/T tires on mine and have gone through some deep ass p00 with it and never got stuck yet. My kids girlfriend was with me wheelin and she was laughing her ass off and said (This thing is a beast) Wait till I lift her and put some real tires on it! They also make excellent recovery vehicles because they weigh so much you can jerk just about anyone out. I have always wanted one with a 3rd seat and now I got one...I can take the whole family anywhere.

Why 93 or newer? IFS vs SFA? I love my solid front axle suburban...like a rock baby! They just dont build them like that anymore!

burbans are runners... i ran a stock one last year with a tbi350 .... beat a v6 camaro lolol... they diggers for sure... they sink till ya hit the bottom ... then they take off ..     they more like the submarines of mud boggin.. loll

It's not so much the IFS as the body style and interior. I'm gonna start with a 2WD then mount up a divorced transfer case and 5 ton Rocks! That way I can use a turned up 5.9 Cummins and 6 sp. manual out of a dodge.

Sounds like a good idea...I am looking at AL's swap and might put a newer body on my frame.

If you are worried about weight you can hack it a bit. There's a guy that runs a suburban at yankee lake that cut everything off from the rear doors back. Then set it down on a short bed truck frame. It looks really cool, and you can still seat plenty of passengers for mudding!

Orangecrush

Burbans make great party barges!! love'm , Looks cool on 44's!!!!!

Suburbans AKA shaggin wagon or chicken wagon for the amish. and that burb you're looking at looks very nice they must want some change for that.
