exoaust tubing

i was kiling time on summit's web site and ran acros exhaust pipe that is made out of aluminized stell for way cheeper than what car-qust is selling galvanised for

so i wanted to know what aluminized steel was and can i weld it with my 110 MIG ???

aluminized exhaust tubing is what the muffler shops use and yes you can weld it with a 110 welder it's not that thick

just go to an exhaust shop and get a length of it.   i think i paid like 15 bucks for a 8 or 10 ft piece when i did the exhaust on my truck and i dont think that was a bad price at all

That is a GOOD price. It's like 12 bux for 4 ft of 2.25 on jegs

I believe the aluminumized is as it says has a very  thin coat of aluminum over top of the steel to help keep it from rusting..

like they said check a local shop it sells for cheap

2.5 is runnin about $25 a 10 foot stick right now. cheapest price yer gonna find
is at million parts on holliday drive in flint. thats the muffler man wharehouse.
im pretty sure they still sell to the public. just across i 75 from the airport

yea ill have to look into that if i rember corectly i paid like 40 bucks for galvinised at car quist when i did my dd
