Has anyone here attempted to make homemade true beadlock wheels, if so any advice on doing this? I want to run low air pressure in my 16.5's  with a tapered bead I once talked to a guy that made his own, and he can't be the only one out there.

you can take a stock metal rim and cut 2 rings the outter bigger then the intter of course drill the holes in them weld the smaller one to the front of the steel rim and then put the tire on and bolt the outter ring on and your all set,
i dont have a mud bogging problem, i got it under control

just get a set of hummer wheels and locks ;)

MOST 16.5s dont have an inner bead... the tire pressure holds the inside to the rim....

you can run a dual bead lock.. but for the effort it takes, and $$$ to have the rings cut, weld them on without warping anything.. might as well find a set of hummer rims
