Cummins project done. pics up!

well i bought a new bed for my truck and a set of fenders and decided to repaint the old girl. tore it all down two weeks ago just left the cab on the frame everything else cam off. worked 8 days straight on it between 8-12 hrs a day but got it all done finally.  now im on the process of getting stuff around to build my 8 inch long arm lift kit. just put 4k govenor springs in it and awaiting my new injectors to come in  so when it comes out of the barn it will run alot better and will be a little bigger. going to be putting 38inch mickey thompson fcII tires on it on 16x12 dick cepek dc2 aluminum rims. here is a pic of it all painted with some rollers on it. picture makes it look like itspewter but its actaully black and silver on the bottom. will post more pics when i get some

got the tubing and got the long arms built today just waiting for my johnny joints to get here and i built my brackets that will bolt on to my frame under my door. now just have to wait for the joints to come in so i can put it all on now. gonna build a new crossmember tomorrow for the trans and t case and a clocking ring so i can drop my t case down a little. should be done by next weekend. have stacks that were on my other cummins but i am building a dual exhaust set up for it running them out at an angle behind the tires

ya its my dd. parts should be here middle of next week then gonna get the back springs re arched and put it all together.

got my clocking ring made today so my front driveshaft angle isnt so steep and going to be making a new crossmember and skid plate tomorrow for the trans/t-case. will post some pics of them when i get them all done

got johnny joints in and i built a new cross member my clocking ring worked out good so the front drive shaft angle isnt bad at all now. mounts are all bolted to the frame now just have to build trac bar for the front and lift the rear. gonna take it all of tomorrow and paint everything. the tires on it are some 315s i have got my 38s to put on it. bumper height with the 315s is 32 inches right now

Sweet Cummins project! Damn nice fab-work on them long arm brackets too.  I would like to see this truck in person.  I have a 6" about to go in mine, and I'd like to make it a long arm later on maybe.

truck will be one this week some time. painted all the arms and brackets i made today with chasis paint. gonna be putting it all on tomorrow. then just have to lift the back of the truck and gonna paint the frame. still have to build my back bumper yet but will be driving it this by this weekend for sure.

took it out for her maiden voyage tonight. rides really good. very happy with the results. will post pics of it tomorrow

the joints and tubing isnt cheap so ill have to get a price on all the materials plus figure in time and ill let you know a price. how much of a lift do you have now or what r your plans with the truck?

here are a couple pics of it all done. got my towing mirrors and smoked cab lights on it today. turned out pretty good. drives really nice. glad its done and i can drive the old girl around.
