How to replace blinker arm on a 1987 GMC pick up?

The wiper switch is messed up on my blinker arm on my 1987 1/2 ton GMC pick up. Has anyone ever changed one of these before?

When ya figure it out let me know...I am in the same boat and it does not look like a fun job ==roll And let me know where ya get a new one because I cannot find a used one anywhere!!!

If I remember right you have to take the steering wheel and turnsignal cam out to get to the plug.
