homemade drop box bearing lube?

Ok, im am making my own dropbox and i have a question on keeping the top 2 bearings lubed.   The oil will be either 30wt or 20w50. i want to make sure that they stay well lubed. i thought i would tap the retainers for grease zerts so i could just give them a shot of grease now and then. what do you guys think?

i run 80 90 in mine, i ran it this way for ten years before i rebuilt it and replaced the bearings.
