upper or lower bushing ???
I want to do all of them, they are dry rotted and squeaking bad when I bounce the front end.

Eroq

i dont think you HAVE to, but it would give you alot more room to work...

I would have to take the tension off the torsion bars though wouldn't I?

Eroq

yup, pull the tensior bolt on the torsion bar.. you can use a 2 jaw gear puller, put some pressure on the torsion key and pull the piece out that the bolt threads into.... remove the gear puller and the torsion key should swing down and your good to go!

remember, PB blaster is yer friend! lube up all the bushings and bolts with PB well before you start pullin everything apart... putting the bushings in too use a little to help press them it    ==np

Alright thanks Eroq...one more thing though, if I take all the weight off the front end will the torsion bars still be under tension like a coil spring? And if it is how do you get it back under tension once you reinstall them?

Eroq

they'll still have some tension when the front end is off the ground...  take a paint marker and mark on the threads of the bolt right where its at... tighten it back in that far when yer done
