The 4 bolts that hold my 208 to my 700r4 all are stripped out if i hit my brakes hard the thing splits and dumps fluid, not so good huh? this ever happen to anyone or have any idea of a fix, cant even get in there to tap new holes, any thoughts?

i figured i would have to heli-coil it not lookin forward to losing the dd though

doesnt take long to heli coil it.  had to do that to my 91 but i only had one bolt hole stripped

Yea its pretty rough, i could get under there and give it a good yank and it would fall off i got under there after i got home from work and the top two bolts were half hangin out of the holes, no cross member under it so its a sitting duck to drop out if i gotta slam the brakes. thanks for the advice though!!

you can get kits for the heli-coils they come with the tap and everything you need to get the job done

Quick fix but not the right fix JB Weld! If you can press the T-case tight enough against the seal somehow with something like a bottle jack take your bolts and just gob a bunch of JB weld on them and sick them in the holes...probably have to let it set for 2 days to make sure it hardens. If I really really really had to I would try this but ya should tap the holes and install helicoils!!!

pop adapter off.. drill out threads... run a bolt through and put a nut on the back side...

threadlock!
