Did one today on my 83 burban.. figgured i'd post a few pics for anyone who is thinking about doing this

hitch was off the rear of my 91 s10, it measures 2x2 with 1/4" wall class 5 hitch



Welded nut for bumper mount




Notched bumper accordingly...

looks good i did one similar but i cross braced it so if you are pulling sidways you can't tweek the frame

almost the exact same thing i did on the front of my 82.  i didnt have to weld a nut in for the bumper mount tho  but basically its the exact same thing as what you did

just bein critical here.. it is a heavy azz burban..     ==kk

   design thought....... instead of butt welding the straps, I would have overlapped them onto and/or around the front of the reciever and done the same with the other end at the cross member.

had you flipped the reciever.. you would have increased you approach angle and reduced the chance of the reciever "digging in"  you would have had to notch the bumper near the top of the license plate mount but...

looks good,  I going to do something like that to the front of my bronco. not sure what I'm going to brace it to yet.
