ok my 87 k5 has a 3'' body lift. (was like that when i bought it) anywyas the front sits lower than the back. why is that. all the blocks are 3''..so why dose the back sit up so much higher? is there a way to fix this?

the body mounts could be rusting out and breaking/bending down  or the bushings or whatever they are called could be falling apart  letting the front end drop.   hard tosay without  actually crawling under and looking for something like that

Wow, that's odd. Every Blazer I ever had the front end sat higher than the rear... Take it to a level parking lot, measure front and rear bumper height, add a spring or two to the front pack to level it out or go with zero rates to keep from stiffining (sp ??? ) up the ride.

Also, the weight of the motor will sometimes wear out front springs faster than rear.

My guess is that its in the suspension and not the body lift.  But, check all the body lift pucks close and make sure none of them have any body metal bending or rusting real bad around them.

As someone mentioned, you can do a zero rate to lift the front up a little if you dont want to do all new springs.  www.offroaddesign.com has some zero rates if you dont want to make your own.

In need of a yank strap?  PM me... I have 'em!

well i know its not the mounts. theres no rust under this balzer and all the mounts are solid as a rock.  i did just notice that the front springs are slightly slouching down. they should be level. so im pretty sure i just found the prob. thanks guys!

What about your REAR Spring packs.............how many leaves are there? Somebody might have beefed up the rear spring packs if they towed anything with it.

Also front spring sag is common on stock GM solid axle front ends.......its refered to as Negative Arch........and the ride qaulity isnt as good compared to a Postive Arch (lift kit) spring.

Or if all you want is to level it for cheap... just do an add a lead.  Real cheap... find another set of leaf springs that someone else doesnt want... taken them apart and add a leaf spring until you get the height you want.

Those grille's do look sweet.

If you end up lifting it 4" after I swap out my spring pack for lift springs instead of blocks I'll have a 4" block and spring set available.
