What is the best way you guys have found to do a lift on the front of a 78 F150. It has coil springs up front. The one I bought the previous owner twisted 2 coil springs together to make one big 1 but I want to fix that. I was thinking either make a block to go between the axle and the coil spring seat or flip the top mounts upside down or weld some rectangular tubing to the bottom of the frame and attach the mount to that.

What do you guys think?

ya, pretty sure that this is the one that kornbread and i looked at. i almost bought this truck till he pointed out the coil issue. there are pleanty of ways to make that lift work, but only one safe way. get coil springs for the size lift you have like mac said. any other way, and your bound to break something bigger or hurt yourself or someone else. if you need some help workin on it let me know, i know them trucks pretty well :). whatever you decide to do though, good luck and be careful!

If It Doesnt Have Mud On It, It's Just Another Truck!
