no sound out of my computer

got on this mroning and tryid watching some video on you tube video went but no sound  . system ant muted video and muted, every thing is plunged in got power to speaker but nothing happening, plugged head phones on front and still nothing .  that's about as far as my knowledge takes really don't know how to fix things without tools can anybody point me in some kind of direction hear or tell me how to diagnose this? any help would be appreciated

mine does that every once in awhile. i have to restart my computer for it to start working. try that and see what happens.

Go into your control panel and go to sound devices and look under there, there should be a spot to do a sound check or something like that..... I know on one of the tabs there's a trouble shooting section so give that try and see if it gets you anywere!! Hope it helps

ok, go to control panel, then go to Sounds and Audio Devices, then in the Volume tab click on Advanced make sure all the volume levels are not muted, it happens sometimes to me, no clue why...

if that's not the case try to update or re-install the sound drivers...

if that don't work you can do one of two things...

1. shoot it
2. buy a PCI Sound card

  don't  just restart it.  shout it all the  way off. then turn it  back on. 

this  work sometimes  to.
Start ,  all programs,  Accressies,   system tools.   disk cleanup, then  disk defragment.    shout off comp. and  restart.

i think crazymays gots it ant sure why but it works know didnt do any thin at all. turned it all the way off like i do every night and in the morin evey thing worked fine.
