For me, it was the fact that my dad owned a 76 cj5 which as a kid I remember my mom yelling at him and me cryin my ass off cause he wanted to try an get through a steep ditch beside some rail road tracks. We did alot of off roading with that jeep.

What really got me into 4x4's and chevys, was that my dad bought new a 83 silverado burban 1/2 ton 4x4 and a sharp apple red 85 stepside scottsdale 10 4x4. he always ran Power Cat type AT tires on both, and I remember him pulling out several peaple when we went hunting/camping on state land when i was a kid.

I also had an uncle who bought new, and still has it a 76 K20 and he used to beat the hell out of it, gettin it stuck.........I was always interested in his truck................and in 05 I bought one near identical to his & same year, except mine was a auto.....his a stick.

Also had 2 cousins who were into old chevy 4x4s when I was a kid, and I remember lookin at pics in peterson's 4x4 offroad magazine.

SO what got YOU interested?????

i was always into trucks. prolly started with the tonka trucks lol. everyone in my family thinks im crazy for what i do with my 4x4s but thats what there built for right. 1st 4x4 was a 91 s10 had 5in lift and 32s. beat the piss out that till it about fell apart. sold it and bought a zr2. wasnt as hard on it but the front diff didnt like the combo of swampers and rocks very much. did a sas with 36s and the trans didnt agree for very long...so now it sits again with a blown trans. gotta love wheelin!!!

when i was about 12 my dad was makeing a driveway at are property with his 75 chevy k20  by having it in 2wd and reving it, and i was looking at the dirt and mud flying and it kinda started from there,  the truck sat there for a few years and i kinda too kit over after that, got it running, put header, a better carb, aluminum intake, and some 285 cooper discoverer stt's,  then started playing with the truck in the fields and then going to bogg's then got the itch to go bigger, now i got a 73 chevy k20 with 4" susp lift 4" body lift sitting on 38.5's and still want to go bigger,   ran in to the wegotmud website from someone telling me to look on here while i was serching for some parts, now been to the mounds and boggs all over lower michigan
i dont have a mud bogging problem, i got it under control
