After high school graduation i took some of the money i made from my graduation party and bought a 78 chevy malibu and am planning to make a bad ass hot rod out of it it is an all original car its got the 3.3 v6 with a 3 speed manual trans very low miles it has less than 30,000 miles on it. i bought it off a real scruffy hobo it sat for more than ten years in a field uncovered and was never turned over the guy threw some gas and a battery in it and it fired right up i couldnt believe it! he wanted $3000 for it and i turned down for about a month then when im working on my truck one day he comes rolling up with it on a trailor and told me $800 or its going to a friend of his so i bought it!
planning to put a big block in it but im going to keep the 3 speed ive got a ford 9 inch for the rear already once i get all this im gonna do a full body restoration which is replace a rocker pannel and the rear frame rails from the bumper to about just before the rear wheels its gonna be awesome for by first project hot rod!
the whole main reason i wanted to do this is to out do my dad he's had a 71 chevelle malibu sitting in the garage that only needs paint hes got a 454 in his im going for that or a real nice small block

pics soon! hate to leave ya waiting but seeing this car you wouldnt think it sat in a field for over ten years!

cool, had a 4 door with same drivetrain. if the 9" isnt a direct fit already, you can use an 8.5" rear from a 71-72 cutlass, bolt's right in, 3" wider than stock 7.5". like the old skool rims also, an emery cloth and wd-40 work wonders in the lug nut holes. makes installation way funner
