Field dressing knife

What kind of knifes do you use when you gut  a deer? Is it a flip locking knife or a fixed blade?

Truth, i havent shot one before but we all carry fixed blades and cells for when we shot them.. Me and my dad hunt over 1 mile back in the thick where its hard to get a truck.

i use a fixed blade. folders are just to hard to clean after your done

ITS ALRIGHT I HAVE ONLY SHOT ONE AND IT WAS A DOE ON PRIVATE LAND but once i get my lisence i hope it will change

yes that way i can go where i want to hunt not where my step dad wants to go

he makes to much noise and he smokes , next year i will be 17 so i will have my lisence and be able to hunt alone!!!

Thats what im thinking this year, we going state land and im going to be driving.. ill be at the other end of the woods from my family.. maybe..

yea we went out last night and i had a nice buck coming and we didnt see it he rattled and then i heard something in the cat tails and it was a big buck running away :(

Oh when i first started hunting i was about 20 yards beside my dad looking the other way, and i saw a deer (no glasses couldent see rack) it was running and i leveled off but no chance.

I use a fixed blade WESTERN Brand side knife for gutting deer.

Gots me a fixed gerber and a fixed winchester both good knives, if you kno how to sharpin them right

My grandpa is a pro at it he sharpens all my knives

stright  knife,  and  i sharpin my own

fixed blade for sure, i just recently started using one with a gut hook and love it!

fixed blade U.S. made Shrade 152.  use it for gutting, skinning, quartering, and boning.

I try not to shoot deer with my knife.. hard on the handles. ;D

fixed blade buck skinner.
