so i was talking with my neighbor and sounds like i want to get a crossbow now for hunting next year. I would like some info and what i need to look for when i get one. any info would be great thanks.

Hammerlane

1. start your research right now
2. shoot
3. shoot
4. shoot
5. shoot some more

start shooting them now, different models, keep a journal of each one.. pro's/con's/feel/accuracy/$$ etc...
and pick one that "feels right" to the touch not the pocket

Over the Edge Sharpening systems, cutlery, shear, scissor sharpening

It's all fun and games till someone gets knocked up.. down or out !
Gone postal.. back in a minute!

just sold my crossbow. i will give some helpful information. make sure you check how the strings or cable go thru the stock. this is the reason i sold mine.the strings rode on each other while crossing in the stock. this wore them down quick. Barnett crossbows are all like this. I am looking into going either with a parker or a 10 point as they have a teflon block that the string/cable ride in so there is no contact with each other. hope this helps in your quest on looking for a crossbow

my eastman x force 300 the strings ride on each other and wear fast, other than that i love it. the problem is people let them go until they break. way too much tension on these to be messin around with any frayed strings. there $20 for the set installed. alot of the other crossbows are having trouble with limbs breaking, ill stay with my eastman $299 out the door. do you reaserch
