Possibly the key switch itself is bad. Had it happen to a car I had once

it will start up with starting fluid shot into the throttle body tho

Mine did too but for some reason it wouldn't turn on the fuel system. Not saying it is just a thought

thats weird, guess its something to look at, lol cause at this point its going to be something thats least expected

Take a jumper wire and try to power the f pump to eliminate you getting a bad pump. Or a tester to see if there is any power back there.

What he said. HA.  Try using a jumper wire to see if its in the harness. If it is in the harness then you can rewire it or find the bad spot in the harness.

Or it could be the old pump die and when you put the new on in a wire came loose and is no long connected to the pump.

It could also be the oil pressure switch. If its leakin its probably bad. The oil pressure switch could be unplugged or wires goin to it broke, shorted, melted, etc. You must have oil pressure for the fuel pump to run, its a safety feature. The wires goin to the fuel pump run through the oil pressure switch on some, and others the computer handles all that. Lotta folks forget about that one and end up at a shop payin all kinds of $$  ;D

i found the problem. a wire got pinched above the rear axle. all i would of had to do is splice the wire and i would have been back on the road. thanks for the help guys.
