the 14.9-24's are 48" to 50" depending on if its a R1/R1W/R2

Got mine on about 7" rims
they recomend 12", but I'm not a tractor.

you can run them up to a 15" wide rim. the last set i had was on 13's.  7/12/13" wide rims are the esayest to find, i had a hard time finding 2 more 15's when i went to 19.5 -24's

How much difference in height will the rim width make ? Like 7" rim to a 14"

Not sure, i would guess an 1" or less
