heres a quick question. why do ppl hang those thick rubber mats on there front bumper. is it too keep mud off the engine or is it like a dif slide so your dif dosnt dig in? im building my first mudder so im trying to colect some little tips and trick or mods that will make it better. check out my build "s10 build!!!"

well if your other site has that many pages why do you need more input? just saying with that many pages we will just come up with the same stuff you already heard.

when i had the trans rebuilt i had it "reprogramed" to hold gears longer and not slip into gears but "hit" on its shifts i guess ud say. helps out when in the sand dunes

cause the other site is strictly jeep cherokee's and most of the mods are kind of unless i just thought this would be a good place to post any good ideas

BUILD SLING MUD (wheel speed) ajust tire sizes to fit your trucks wheel spin needs.
And ALWAYS TAKE A BUDDYS TRUCK WITH,
bring a shovel suction kills your tires and axle.
big strap (go way over board)
modifiy your truck with vary stong tow points (to stong is better)

Plasticote iginition spray ( basically spray on plastic) its not a thick compound, less than house hold plastic wrap.....i spray all electric connections, dist.

You can't forget to lock up the axles, at least the rear.  My rear is locked up, and I am going to lock up the front for the next season.  Theres been a couple of times that I think the extra front tire grabbing would have got me out.
