I know this has been asked b4, but how do u tell gear ratio from the numbers stamped on the ring gear?

divide the big number by the little number

like 42 & 13 would be a 3.23:1

maybe haha  if its sposed to be 4.10 then thats probably it... 3.42 is more common gear. the numbers are how many teeth are on the ring gear vs how many there are on the pinion so if you can see in there to count those it will either have 10 or 12 teeth on the pinion.

yes, its a 4.10, thats how you do it.

i usually count the ring teeth and pinion teeth and divide, not all are marked
