Just bought a 1993 Chevy Suburban. Its has the factory dash heat/air control unit, a heat/air control unit on the ceiling for the very back row of seats and a heat/air unit control on the ceiling for the people in the seats behind the driver and passenger. Heres the thing im stumped on. When i turn on the 2 ceiling units you hear the blower motors kick on and work, but when im driving and click the dash unit on theres no blower sound. The controller is full electronic push button and all the setting work but no blower sound. If i turn the window heat on or even the floor heat after driving for about 20min the blower finally kicks on but as soon as I turn the truck off and back on it has no blower again until 15-20 min of wait time. im very stumped.  nothings corroded or no broken or pinched wires. Im stumped. maybe the blower motor is going out??

Its just a straight heater, not climate control, right? Sounds like a bad wire, bad connection, or a bad blower motor.. If there is just one wire that supplies the power to both switches for frt n rear, it might be messed up

KORNBREAD

I checked all the connection that I could follow and there all solid with no breaks.

What switch did you replace? The actual heater control or is there a switch or relay inside the dash?

Im guessin hes sayin the actual blower motor switch.. There aint nothin else in there other than the blower motor resistor as far as I know ???

Pop your hood and check the connection on the blower motor it's self...I don't know what year they switched over but if you don't have the blower motor on the firewall it will be in the glove box, just pull the glove box off and the motor sits behind it.

old school truck dude

The blower motor resistor is behind the glove box on top of the heater, take a look at it too, they give lots of trouble

KORNBREAD

yeah it dosnt have the older box on the outer firewall so ill tear into the glove box tomorrow. thanks guys.
