What kind of fittings, couplers and adapters do I need to hard-line a transmission cooler? I want to run all hard-lines, no zip ties and rubber hoses!!!

well you need to get the cooler to know what fittings you need. most add on coolers use rubber hoses. you know that there is trans line hose that is for trans. it is thicker than gase line hose.

or you could use stainless steel braided line... wont kink, wont rub thru, stuff is great!

Yup! x2 - Love the look of that stuff too, got cool colors for the ends of it and all that ;D

I am using a plate type cooler that has to female NTP openings on it, I need to know what kind of fittings are used on the end of the transmission lines though, once I got that figured out I can use bushing reducers in the cooler.

Thought about using braided lines with AN fittings but I would rather plumb everything with transmission lines.

Lines at the trans end are usually 1/2" double flare, the line is flared not the fitting.. Are we workin on a Suburban? ==dunno

Suburban is gone I sold that a while back...working on wifes bravada, just installed a new cam, lifters, marine intake and 30lb injectors...waiting on getting dyno tune now (probably next week) but with summer coming up and added horsepower and torque I want to make sure I keep the tranny fluid nice and cool.

From what I have learned GM sells all the fittings and adapters I will need to make this work.

Anyone know if they sell transmission lines that you can bend by hand like the new brake lines they have now days?

Also thinking about running an inline spin on filter? Still thinking about this one though because I dont want to compromise flow in any way shape or form...how ever that issue can be dealt with when I get my tune, I can increase line pressure, turn off torque management, turn off abuse mode, increase WOT shift points, ect. Will get into all that when it is on the dyno and see what is going to work best.

Goal is to break 15 second 1/4 mile times, A lot of people are posting 1/4 mile times of close to a second gain just from adjusting the transmission settings VIA EFI Live on s10forums. I would like to add a wynjammer next year but for $2500 big ones I am leaning towards just spraying it with a 100 shot, I would love to get this thing into the 13's with cooper st tires ==roll

Will be surprising a lot of rice burners this summer  ;D

With just the engine mods right now I think I am going to be real close to 260hp at the crank and should make 345 at least with a 100 shot.

This thing should be a real sleeper because you would never in a million years think the Bravada next to you is going to lay waste to your hot rod ==roll

Ok, now I see what youre workin on.. Most all steel lines are very bendable UNTIL you pressurize them for the first time, after that, forget it. I have used a box end wrench slid over the line with quite a bit of success, they sell line bender stuff for not too awful much.. ;D
