Mufflers?

Does anyone make a high flow muffler that is quiet? I mean whisper quiet! Mods on Bravada are almost done but I need to upgrade exhaust, I have a 2 1/2" on it right now with hiflow cat but the stock muffler is going to be the bottle neck.

I don't want to put something like a blowmaster on it because I am old and anything but a built V8 sounds like crap if it is loud. If I cant find a quiet muffler that flows good I think I am going to run a complete 3" exhaust with a standard muffler that is quiet, I figure the restriction on that muffler would be equal to a high flow 2 1/2" muffler however that would mean I would also have to buy a new cat, modify Y-Pipe to a 3" out, new tail pipe, ect, money I dont want to spend!

I am hearing walker quiet flow mufflers might fit what I am looking for...any opinions on them?

I haven't seen them around in years, I had them on my Camaro back in the days and loved them, they was nice and quiet at idle and cruising but when you got on it they had a nice deep tone.

I think I found a solution...I am going to try the walker quiet flow 2 3/4 in and 2 3/4 out, I will just need to increase pipe size 1/4 after the cat and have a new tail pipe made, this should flow plenty for my needs.

i usually run cherrybomb turbos.. prettymuch a stock replacement muff  and theyre like $30.   i dont blame ya wantin it quiet especially when ya get a few ponies comin outta that lil 4.3 ;)

Decided on headers, 2" Y-pipe into a 3" collector and a 3" high flow cat, what ever quiet 3" in/out muffler my local shop installs and 3" tail pipe. I figure the restriction from the ultra quiet mufflershop muffler will be a wash using a 3" system. So it should flow plenty but still be factory quiet.

By the way according to a friends Gtech we got 0 to 60 in 6.2 seconds the other day...it has not even been tuned for all the mods yet ==roll

Has to be real close to 280 at the crank? Supercharger or turbo is out of the budget this year but seriously thinking about adding a 100 shot to it.

Going to call it project innocent...you will never expect the lady in the cranberry colored Bravada in the lane next to you beating you to the next red light ==roll

I will be going into Grand rapids this summer where all the ricers hang out and find a few races, will be posting on youtube, will be good for some laughs ==roll

Are they factory quiet?

My biggest issue is we use this for long drives and trips because it has everything...kinda like a Baby Escalade ==roll

I want quiet...nothing more annoying than hearing a V6 muffler drone driving down the highway. Being an SUV drone would be worse than a pick up, like sitting inside a big hollow echo chamber.

not really quiet...

theres always magnaflow they make a few good flowing quiet mufflers.

That Yota would be the loudest I would want it...that sounded pretty dam good and quiet though for long tube headers and 3" exhaust. Props...will check out the magnaflow mufflers.
