I have a 97 Explorer w/5.0 and my cat is getting plugged. What are the down falls to running without them. Run straight to mufflers.
Thanks

light might come on if you remove them, is the o2 in the cat or before or after? both?  any mustang guys do it so i dont see why it wouldnt work. if it has alot of miles could smoke a bit.

You will have an O2 after the cat, just replace the cat or run a straight pipe and do the spark plug non fouler trick, google that one.

Yes it has 4, 2 before the cats 2 after. I have heard about the non-fouler trick. I might have get a couple of them and give it a try.
