i have a 1987 chevy k10 it has a 350/700r4/208 for drivetrain. its my new bogger project but the cab is junk but the interior is nice as hell. so im keeping the interior. but im picking up a gmc reg cab same as this one. but this one is a 2wd with a 5 spd manual.  but really my question is can i just take the whole interior out of my chevy and ripp the whole nasty interior out of the gmc and then throw my whole chevy interior into the gmc cab??i know ill have to cut a hole for the tcase shifter. but will i have to do anything else?? also know ill have to keep steering column out of chevy becuz it has auto shifter on it. but if im going to run into problems if you could plz tell me. thanks

Should be a direct swap, all the bolt holes should be exactly the same if they are the same year, they are identical trucks...only difference would be trim moldings and emblems, ect.

yup done those swamps to many times to count over the years. you will have to modify the trans hump some so it wont rub unless your runny a body lift. besides that there all the same stuff.

Youll have to cut a new hole and extend the lever, it wont be stickin out far enough with the body lift. Just get one of those universal boot kits to cover up the hole you cut. Give it plenty of room or the body flexin will be knockin it outta gear all the time. With the body lift it will flex a bit more than standard so go a little bigger ;D

If the cab you are getting is a 81-87 cab.....then it'll all swap over with no problem.

you can run into problems with older cabs 73-80, some interior parts wont directly bolt into a newer 81-87 cab without slight modifications because those interior parts are slightly different even though they seem to look identical.
