Frame RUST Problems

ok so well lets start i have a 1987 chevy k10 shortbox reg cab 4wd and its my bogger project. but...it has the michigan cancer all over it but today i go out and started tearing into it checking out stuff and i decide ill crawl under the truck and check to see how hard the bed is to take off and i crawl around looking and checkin out frame and stuff and i find well in the part of my frame between the cab and bed i could pul rust off and poke my finger through frame. well i picked this whole truck up for 300 dollars figured id save it from going to scrap. and it was a good start for a bogger. but... this frame  i dont know would you guys run a frame like this or should i just find a better one?? would it be real hard to mae a frame for suin like this from scratch? i just dunno wat to do so someone please help me out

without seeing it it's kinda a tough call, but ya could add tubeing or square stock to it for a few feet past it, i've seen that a few times

i thought maybe adding 1/4 inch steel inside the frame rails and replacing the crossmembers with tubing

if that frames really rusty dont run it its not safe..  if you can poke holes in it scrap it and get a new one!

i got a frame for ya ands its a 3/4 ton... even got a clean cab on it!!!

yes has cab alredy found new frame and stepside box clean as hell from the south

I seen the project thread, cant see the floor too good. Id be wantin it for my K5 frame. Needs a clean title, heat, good glass, and stuff like that. If its just some minor rust repair, no big deal..

floors are solid rockers have michigan rust. heat worked clean title grood glass all round but like i said before im gutting interior but the cab im using i can throw that interior in

There aint much to the interior, is there? just the dash and the door panels? You pullin the headliner out? What do you mean when you say youre guttin it?

i wont go to extremes of headliner but dash gauges all trim and seat or if i could get some decent bucket seets i would use thembut door panels yea im taing
