who runs the polyethylene racing seats off like summit and jegs??

are they comfortable good for a long day at the mounds or an all out day of boggin?

wat do they provide over a regular bucket seat?

are these seats only compatable with 4 point or any safety harness?

and wat about 4 points? are they worth it? i now they help to add protection but wat are there advantages over a shoulder belt?

i have poly seats.....keeps ya from sliding side to side.....4 points are good ONLY if you have a cage! NO CAGE NO RACE HARNESSES

I cant imagine sitting in one all day - 5point harness holds YOU where your supposed to be if you have to hold on to steering wheel for support you CANT control vehicle , improper mounting of shoulder belts can do serious damage to your spine

OHEARN.2012

well im not saying like sitting in them all day but is it going to be like sitting on a rock?

and how many different "points" harnesses are there??

you could just use lap belts.....the kind like in the middle back seat of a car.....would hold you in bucket i guess

4 and 5 point are the most common

bigmud44

hour or two woudint be bad with the covers - I would not think of making a pass with out harness on a 5 point is 2 across shoulders 2 across lap + crotch I make my kid wear arm restraints when she runs rail

I use em in my fig 8 cars.  I zip tie a piece of 1" dense foam between the seat cover and seat back, also a piece under your azz.  This helps alot i think.  Ive been upside down before, no cage, no harness! lap belt only!  Your neck will thank you!  Ive ended up with bruises under my arms from banging on the seat sides too.

Know anyone who drag races or does circle track?   They cant use a harness past the exp date on it.  you can usually get em cheap or even free.  Ive gotten 4 sets free this way.

the simplest is 4point hoop behind you with 2down bars going from hoop to floor diaganaly when someone refers to 4-6-8-10 -12 point cage it refers to how many tubes tie into chasis-body
