Bigdaddy

6 years ago, Aug -05 I had a hernia & they repaired it with a kugel patch,
Ive never really recover'd from the operation...
Ive been sick & getting sicker for last few years,I hardly leave the house in last few months,
Ive only shared this with a few close friends & they know what kinda pain Ive been threw
been to the doctor & emergency over this crap
waisted over $1000 bucks on upper GI & colonostaphy, cat scans, & numerous other test,
Thank goodness for Insurence, they pay 80% after 900 deductable...
although they did find I have kidney stones & a fatty liver thru these test,

Well now the patch has been recalled & they are taking it out of me & doing a repair on monday,
all this bad health from a bad patch/repair

looks like I may be down awhile, wish me luck ==goodluck prayy
hopefully Ill get back to normal ==roll whatever normal is ==roll

Hernia Mesh Problems
In recent years, some patients have had hernia mesh complications due to a malfunction in a part of the Bard Composix Kugel Hernia Patch.  With the Kugel patch, a plastic ring that connected the two pieces of mesh would sometimes break, and the sharp edges from the ring could puncture internal organs, causing serious complications.

One of the more serious hernia mesh problems is a perforated bowel, in which the ring creates a hole in the stomach or intestine and food from one of those organs leaks into the abdominal cavity, causing a potentially life-threatening infection.  Another complication is a fistula, which is an abnormal connection or passageway between two parts of the intestine. This can cause both pain and infection.  Over 80 injuries and problems have been reported as a result of broken rings, including several fatalities.
