j/k its a cast iron chain driven full time transfer case built by new process in the late '70s. was found under ford, dodge and gm's.

as far as im concerned, boat anchor!

KORNBREAD

Yup really heavy s.o.b to. Better off as boat anchors. Great for light offroading but are known for breaking a lot under hard play. I had great luck with the 1rst one I had but i was light playing with it, but when I got hard into floor jamming holes or ripping up and down trails the 2nd 203 didnt last long.

x2. i had one in the gold truck, i didnt like it because it was full time. which means no doughnuts, unless you get lockouts, or a part-time kit.

how light was the truck? gears? tires? the weight of moving parts has alot to do with it

208 is the plan this winter im going to run the 203 this season but from wat i have read the 203s wont move the vehicle if frontdriveshaft isnt in??

try finding a ford transfer case standard shift use the internal parts to get rid of slip yoke that is what i've been doing in my cj-7 and i have a really good driveshaft angle almost looks stock i'm running a 4-speed sm465 with a 205 before that i ran sm465 with a 208 both non slip yoke good luck hope it all works out for ya
