water in oil

98 k1500 350 243k miles what is the common problems that cause this on my truck i thought the intake gasket's leaked out so im thinking head gasket's but the truck hasent been overheated so i dont see why they would go... just looking for thoughts on this untill i can actually check and find out

also my intake was full of water and its a completley stock setup with the acception of a cone filter in the stock air box

ok, well i had a 350 that the steel ring on the head gasket just let go on one of the cyliners one time, the motor never overheated or anything before that, just musta been a combination of age and or a falty part, it didn't take long to go from just a lil coolent in the oil to filling teh cylinder overnight, done a compression check yet?

no, havent touched it this weekend been busy with other stuff i was also thinking of preasurising the cooling system and listning to see where its coming from too
