Radiator lines back to the box

I am just about to mount my radiator in the bed of my truck and was told to use 1 1/4" pipe. I got some trampoline pipe which is 1 3/8". I just wanted to make sure this wouldnt be to big even though its just a little bigger. Its cooling a mildly built 460 with stock water pump and stock radiator.

just make sure it's thick walled enough th handle any stones and what not that will hit it!!
