Ok a few weeks ago I was watching something that showed those old WWII news reels, and the commentary got me thinking. You don't see that anymore. Because now a days the thinking of the people is like "ok their over there and we are not, better them than us". But in those old news reels there was a sense of pride, and when they showed the reels of the solders back home in ticker tape parades there was more joy, and also more jubilation, where is that today? Also when the commentator spoke about what was going on there was pride in his voice, but today the news anchors are very solemn when they do a news report. So I just gotta ask again where is the American pride, yes I know there was a burst of pride when we shot and killed bin laden, what happened to it where did it go again? So in closing if you see someone in uniform go up and shake their hand and give then a pat on the back, and tell them thank you.
